This restaurant is one of the first restaurants in Kiev with a real atmosphere of the Middle East.
The restaurant has a rich Uzbek interior with marquees, couches and a private VIP hookah room. Pastel shades like cream, sand, some gold and chocolate dominate the color scheme. Shades of blue accentuate the walls. Tables are separated by the glass colored screens. True Eastern silks and fabrics drape the walls. Shafran is a real feast for the senses. From the moment you enter this Uzbek restaurant you are treated to the scent of rose petals whilst the eyes can appreciate the eastern influence of the interior design. Shafran is really a complete experience restaurant – comfortable, elegant and with almost perfect service.
The cuisine of the restaurant is under the control of real Uzbek cook. He is a Chef and head of the kitchen. On the kitchen range he cooks numerous kinds of national patties and ravioli with various filling. But at the middle of the main hall he cooks meat and fish kebabs to perfection on the open fire. If you wish your waitress will serve liulya-kebab – national Uzbek sausage cooked of chopped meat. The menu offers many interesting dishes and we have selected the following for the customs to consider: manty (big ravioli) stuffed with meat or pumpkin and then steamed; pilaf with raisins or with lamb and Uzbek spices; pies stuffed with chopped meat, minced onions and special spices and of course eastern delights.
